About Us
Yunke was founded in Germany with the vision of creating distinctive, handcrafted chasing and repoussé tools for the most demanding professionals. Drawing on many years of experience in jewelry making, we design and produce tools that truly meet the needs of this craft. Each Yunke tool is individually handcrafted from hardened and tempered high-quality carbon steel. All of our tools are made in our traditional workshop, now based in Spain. We prioritize originality, durability, and uncompromising quality over mass production, creating only a limited and exclusive number of tools.
Yunke tools
Our tools are crafted from high-quality carbon tool steel. Each Yunke tool is handcrafted using traditional techniques combined with modern processes to ensure exceptional performance and durability. Every tool is carefully hardened and tempered to provide generations of use and consistently precise results.
Each tool measures approximately 110 mm (4.33 in) in length. A wide range of shapes and sizes allows both professionals and beginners to find the perfect tool—from the finest jewelry details to larger-scale work. We meticulously hand-finish every tool to achieve an exceptional fit, balance, and surface quality.
In addition to chasing and repoussé, Yunke tools can be used for stamping, texturing, and embossing on metal, as well as on clay, leather, and other materials.
Our special tempering
After hardening, the tool becomes extremely hard but also brittle. Tempering reduces this brittleness and allows the tool to safely absorb the impact of the hammer without risk of fracture. This second heating process slightly lowers the hardness while greatly increasing the toughness of the steel. It also significantly improves elasticity and resilience, preventing the tool from breaking under stress. Through this process, the tool gains strength, flexibility, and long-term durability.
